A beautiful pair of Swedish Grace pewter candelabra designed by Harald Linder for Svenskt Tenn, dating to 1930 and bearing the Svenskt Tenn HL D8 mark.

Harald Linder (1880–1945) was a distinguished Swedish goldsmith and pewter designer whose work became closely associated with the refined Scandinavian metalwork of the Swedish Grace period. His firm was appointed a Royal Court Supplier in 1918, and his work was exhibited at important Swedish exhibitions of the period.

These candelabra are a particularly elegant expression of his design. The two arms sweep outward in graceful, almost calligraphic curves, creating a wonderful sense of movement and rhythm, while the long geometric stem and softly domed base bring balance and architectural restraint.

Designed to take your standard dinner candles , they make a striking centrepiece on a dining table, console or mantelpiece, while their sculptural silhouette allows them to be appreciated simply as works of Scandinavian design.

A beautifully preserved example of Harald Linder’s Swedish Grace, bringing together the elegance of Svenskt Tenn, the warmth of aged pewter and an unusually fluid sculptural form.
