Murano Glass Vase, Aubergine Tone, Italy, 1970s
About This Piece
Murano glass vase, Italy, 1970s.
Hand-blown in a deep aubergine tone, shifting between plum and warm brown depending on the light. The form is clean and balanced, with applied glass detailing at the neck, a traditional Murano technique.
The glass carries small air bubbles and natural variations from the making process. The base shows a lightly rough pontil mark, a trace of where the piece was finished by hand.
Works well as a standalone object or with a few simple stems.
In good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age.
