Grand Silver-Plated Pumpkin Bonbonnière Dish

A large vintage silver-plated bonbonnière in the form of a pumpkin, dating to around the 1970s.

The piece has a generous lobed body, a fitted lid and a sculptural textured stem handle. Its polished silver-plated surface gives the organic pumpkin form a reflective, decorative quality, balancing playful design with a refined tableware presence.

Larger than many examples of this form, it has a strong sculptural character and works beautifully as a decorative table object, bonbonnière, jewellery dish, vide-poche, or small serving piece.

The underside bears a distinctive lighthouse-and-dolphins maker’s mark alongside the SILVER-PLATED stamp. The same mark appears on smaller Christian Dior-signed examples of this pumpkin form, suggesting that this larger unsigned version may come from the same workshop or production family. This example itself is not Dior-signed.
