David Marshall Brutalist Serveware

Spain, c. 1970s

€600

This mixed-metal serving set is an early example of David Marshall’s Brutalist metalwork, created in his Spanish workshop during the 1970s–80s. Handles in signature brass and paired with polished stainless steel, each piece reflects Marshall’s sculptural language — raw textures, material weight, and the contrast between organic form and modern fabrication.

The set includes salad servers, a spreading knife, and a carving knife with fork, all bearing the tactile irregularities that define Marshall’s hand-cast work. Functional yet distinctly sculptural, these pieces bring a bold mid-century presence to the table, echoing the Brutalist revival shaping contemporary interiors today.
