Deschamps Frères | France - c. 1930s
Art Deco Silver-Plated Wine Cooler / Ice Bucket
A French Art Deco silver-plated wine cooler / small ice bucket by Deschamps Frères, Paris, dating to around the 1930s.
The piece has a compact cylindrical form with a gently flared rim, shaped pouring lip and elegant curved handle. Its design is defined by the contrast between the smooth polished upper body and the finely ribbed lower section, a restrained Art Deco detail that adds texture, rhythm and structure to the reflective silver-plated surface.
Both practical and decorative, it works beautifully as a small wine cooler, ice bucket or refined barware piece. Its compact scale makes it especially suitable for intimate table settings, aperitif service or display as part of a silver-plate collection.
The underside bears the square D. Frs mark with rooster head for Deschamps Frères, together with a 12 G silver-plate quality mark.
