A Rare Art Deco Fumé Glass Tulip Vase by Muller Frères Lunéville
France, c. 1920s
A substantial and rare Art Deco glass vase by Muller Frères Lunéville, formed in fumé brown glass with a wide flared body, vertical ribbed moulding, rounded knop stem, and low circular foot.
Founded near Nancy in the historic Lorraine glassmaking region, Muller Frères was one of the most notable French glass houses of the early 20th century alongside Daum.
The model is particularly rare, with its broad tulip-shaped opening and architectural ribbing. The fumé brown glass shifts beautifully with the light, moving between translucent tobacco, soft bronze, and deeper smoked tones. Substantial in weight yet elegant in profile, it has a strong decorative presence as a standalone object, while also working beautifully for simple bunch of tulips
Signed Muller Frères Lunéville to the base.
