Orfevrerie Gallia Christofle Vase (Model 4841)
A masterpiece of Belle Époque Parisian metalwork, this silver-plated solifleur vase embodies the organic vitality and fluid naturalism of French Art Nouveau. Produced by Orfèvrerie Gallia, Christofle’s prestige line, the slender neck opens onto a body sculpted in high relief with a coiled dragonfly—a key Art Nouveau symbol of fluidity, metamorphosis, and weightless, sinuous movement, perfectly mirroring the organic whiplash curves of the era. The form is bordered by a delicate band of forget-me-nots (myosotis) and rests upon a sculptural lily-pad base.
Conceived in the wake of the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle, Model 4841 remains one of the maison's most iconic and sought-after flora-and-fauna compositions.
