Stella Collection “Galaxy” Teapot by Marina Sgarbi

Stella Collection “Galaxy” Teapot by Marina Sgarbi

Italy, c. 1980s

€410

A sculptural teapot from the Stella Collection, defined by its spherical body and sweeping, cantilevered handle. The composition is both minimal and expressive, capturing the futuristic design language that emerged in Italy during the late 20th century.

Designed by Marina Sgarbi, the piece reflects a space-age modernist sensibility, where function is resolved through fluid, architectural form. The balance between geometry and movement gives the object a distinctive, almost weightless presence.

Executed in 18/10 stainless steel, the surface combines mirror-polished and brushed finishes, creating soft, continuous reflections that enhance its almost liquid quality.

Both utilitarian and sculptural, it offers a striking presence whether in use or displayed — a refined example of Italian design from a period defined by experimentation and forward-looking form.
