Defined by smooth architectural geometry and rich textural contrast, this silver-plated decorative box embodies the timeless Art Deco aesthetic of master silversmith Jean Puiforcat. Originally designed in the 1930s and produced by the Maison Puiforcat into the 1970s, the piece features a gently domed lid rising through finely stepped concentric rings, capped by a striking spherical finial in marbled, ruby-toned red lacquer. The reflective, cool silver surface plays off the warm depth of the red lacquer, creating an elegant statement piece for a console, dressing table, or desk.
