Terms of Sale

1. Scope & General Terms

These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made through Trove (trove-paris.com). By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Nature of Vintage & Antique Objects

Trove specializes in individually sourced vintage and antique pieces. Due to their age and history, items naturally show signs of wear, patina, and material variation. These characteristics are documented through photography and descriptions and are considered integral features of the object, rather than defects. Minor color variations may occur depending on screen displays.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are displayed in Euros (€) and include applicable French VAT where required.
Payment is due in full at checkout via the payment methods offered. Orders are dispatched only after payment clearance.
Trove reserves the right to adjust prices at any time prior to order placement.

4. Orders & Cancellation

An order is confirmed once payment has been processed and you receive an order confirmation email. If you need to modify or cancel an order prior to dispatch, please contact concierge@trove-paris.com immediately. Once an item has been dispatched, standard return policies apply.

5. Shipping & Risk Transfer

Dispatch times, carrier rates, and shipping destinations are detailed in our Shipping & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms. Under EU consumer law, Trove remains responsible for the safety of the item during transit until it is physically delivered to you or your designated recipient.

6. International Duties & Taxes

For shipments outside the European Union, prices are charged VAT-free. Any applicable import duties, customs charges, or local sales taxes are determined by the destination country and are the buyer’s responsibility. If a shipment is returned due to unpaid import charges, return freight and handling costs will be deducted from any eligible refund.

7. Statutory Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

If you are purchasing as a consumer within the European Union (or where local consumer protection law grants equivalent rights), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of delivery without specifying a reason.

Return Process: You must notify Trove within 14 days of delivery and dispatch the item within 14 days of return approval.
Return Shipping: The buyer covers all return shipping costs, taxes, and duties. Items remain the buyer's responsibility until received by Trove in Paris; tracked and insured shipping is required.
Diminished Value: Returned items must be in their original condition and packaging. Trove reserves the right to deduct a fee reflecting any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the item.

8. Damaged or Defective Deliveries

If an item arrives damaged in transit, please notify concierge@trove-paris.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item, inner packaging, outer box, and shipping label. This prompt notification allows us to lodge claims with our carriers and does not restrict your legal consumer rights regarding faulty goods.

9. Limitation of Liability & Applicable Law

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Trove shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use or purchase of goods. These Terms of Sale are governed by French law.
